On a side note, I do "fondly" call my car BB, which stands for "baby benz" as she is little, cute, and of course the ever-present super diva, much like the dealership that she came from! Not only do I love the looks of your blog but I did not even need to read the whole post on your Mercedes before I laughed and had to leave a comment. My husband has been a MB tech for many years and we have owned quite a few because of it. We both know exactly what you mean. He quit the dealership for quite a while many years ago to open his own shop. Last February, he went to work for another one in a different city and he remembered why he quit in the first place. He is coming home, both to recoup from a couple of surgeries and to try something new. This is not intended to be a shameful ad for him and I wanted you to know that even we understand and he "is" one of the tech's, however, we are thinking about starting a blog where he can use the vast knowledge in his brain to both help people fix the problem cars that no one else can fix (his forte), help people not get beat up at the dealership as well as a variety of other services he can offer without killing his back. Do you think that you would be interested in something like this? You can email me any questions you have re: your BB (assuming that is your car) and I will have him help you out the best he can.
